All credit to Andy Murray, who lost today against Andy Roddick in the Wimbledon Semi-Final.  It really was a great effort to get this far.  Maybe next year for the final eh?  This year’s men’s final will be Federer v. Roddick, and I really can’t see anyone beating Federer.

Apparently it can take up to ten days for the checks that they have to do before I can rent a house. This is most annoying especially as it said on the form that it should be done in 48 hrs. I am annoyed. This will totally mess up my plan. grr.

A state of major disaster has been declared over the Arizona fires [news.bbc.co.uk]. State aid will now go to help the victims who have lost out to the fires.

Germany have knocked South Korea out of the World Cup [news.bbc.co.uk]. They won by one to nil. Bit of a shame, but I suppose mostly predictable.

In the tennis, Henman [news.bbc.co.uk] went through his match pretty easily, though his apponent was a qualifier somewhere in the top 300 in the world, so not a massive challenge.

Our other British showing Jane O’Donoghue [news.bbc.co.uk] fought a good fight but was seen off by Williams.
