Snow. Lots of.
Sunday, January 10th, 2010So we’ve started the new year with a big freeze. The whole country has been enveloped in snow for quite a while. This led to this amazing image of frozen Britain being released by NASA. Looks pretty end-of-the-world-ish. We’ve had a slight thaw today, though more snow is promised to be on the way.
To try to make the most of it, we stuck our newly-acquired walking gear on and headed off to Fountains Abbey. It looks great in the snowy conditions and is great to walk around, providing you are suitably equipped of course, I wouldn’t fancy it in a pair of trainers.
