Today – and following up to what now seems to be one of my most commented posts ever, having attracted the attention of people of all types – we learn that Jade Goody’s fiance has had his legal curfew relaxed by the Ministry of Justice.

Since this was a curfew that was imposed after an assault on a teenager with a golf club, I wonder what that teenager and his family think about this? Is this a blanket ruling now to cover all marriage ceremonies? No, maybe just those being covered by top selling magazines for the terminally ill? Or just the ones for those who have previously been minor celebrities, and have great publicists?

I’d like to imagine that the authorities sat down and thought very clearly over the merits of relaxing the curfew, but quite a large part of me thinks that it was pretty heavily influenced by the media.

Quick update to add that, no, the victim isn’t that happy about it.
