Fun Blocks

This week’s cheap plastic stuff is FUN BLOCKS. These are plastic stackable squares and other shapes that very closesly resemble LEGO, but without the LEGO stamp or the build quality.

So? Is it any good. Well, the box was pretty well crammed full of fun blocks and assorted items, so you certainly get a lot for your pound. There’s cars and fences and trees and stickers and, of course, the blocks themselves.

There’s no instruction on what you should build with all this kit, though, so you’re left a bit directionless (or free to express however you choose, depending on how you look at it.) Also, the build leaves a little to be desired, as some of the blocks were unfinished, meaning that they did not click together properly (when, say, compared to the polished finish of LEGO). Also some of the tree objects didn’t stand up all that well. I’d class these issues as “minor”.

Overall I think because of shear volume of product I have to give this a reasonable amount, because you could – indeed – have some fun with these blocks. So I give this 7 out of 10. A good cheap plastic stuff score.
