I had high hopes for this one, I really did. The packaging was impressive and promised great things -
Place the egg in water for 12 hours, the instructions said, “slowly then the Alien hasten out of the shell”. So I did. 2 days later and absolutely nothing had happened. Nada. Zilch. Hmph, I thought. I left it in the water anyway. Later that day Laura informed me that the alien had broken from its shell. I came home to see that, indeed, it was out -
I must that say I was fairly disappointed. The egg had not really broken enough to release the alien, apart from its head, and the alien itself looked rubbish. I left it a little longer to grow a bit more. This was the result -

Hatched Alien
As you can see, the alien has grown a bit more, but looks even worse. Texture-wise, it’s gooey to the touch but not plyable. Not great. I actually left it even longer to see if it would crack its shell properly. The alien got bigger, but didn’t crack the shell, and looked even worse. A white foam began to cover both alien and egg, so I disposed of the whole thing.
All in all I give this cheap plastic alien egg a poor rating of 2 out of 10. I do not think that this would be much fun.
