Facebook control

There’s a fair few odd things going on this week, one of them is Facebook’s reaction to the recent fuss over facebook content privacy, which is to generate some kind of democracy of the people to decide how its rules go.

Now, I honestly didn’t see what all the fuss was about in any event on this one. I mean, who really cares if facebook has rights to your comments? “Mr mist is eating dinner”, “Mr mist is browsing the web”, “Mr mist is facebooking”. Wow. That’s content that’s worth owning. Still, I suppose some people out there have Facebook accounts with less inane comments, heck, some have even lost their jobs over Facebook status remarks, but, really, is it actually so bad or so important that every future decision now has to be decided in an internet comittee?

Really guys, good luck with that one. Prior evidence of arguments on the Internet suggests that they go around in circles with no outcome, so I guess Facebook will now be stuck in a quagmire of pointless net bickering, and there endeth the progress.
