Motorway plans shrink

Motorway widening plans for the M1 (amongst others) are to be dropped according to transport secretary Geoff Hoon. I find this interesting as the last time I went down to Leicester the M1 around Nottingham was already well underway being developed to get more lanes. I wonder if that will just be ditched half-way through? [...]
