Manic
Strangely enough there’s been some odd news articles around this week. For example, today, I read about a chap who reached 135MPH in his BMW before hitting a roundabout, because his accelerator stuck [news.bbc.co.uk]. The odd thing that I find about this one is why did he not just turn the car off? Or had his key failed too? Admittedly I’m no mechanic so I don’t know if that’s a good thing to do to a car, but, then, would he want to continue driving in something that you can’t slow down anyway?
Then there was a story about a chap who was going to be fined 50 pounds for putting his litter in a bin [news.bbc.co.uk]. it was the wrong sort of littler, you see? The council eventually changed their minds, I think no doubt due to the publicity over the fine making them look stupid.
And we also heard that TV regulators have censored an Aussie advert from TV because it contained the phrase "bloody hell" [www.reuters.co.uk]. Luckily for us sane people though, the full advert can still be seen online [www.wherethebloodyhellareyou.com]…

I read about that BMW guy also. I always wondered what I would do if I couldn’t brake or my accelerator got stuck. I would befinely be slamming the breaks or hand break but I turning off the engine makes sense to me.
