So this morning at 0300GMT Saddam Hussein was hanged in Iraq [news.bbc.co.uk]. Hardly marking the end of anything, other than his life, as the extreme violence in Iraq continues unabated. Pet Love

American Ted Dres probably didn’t bargain on being strangled to death by his pet Boa Constrictor [news.bbc.co.uk] when he bought it. That’s probably one of the dangers. In other odd news, Indian feamle athlete Santhi Soundararajan has failed a gender test [news.bbc.co.uk] and will lose her Asian Games silver medal. That’s really strange.
