Film Review - Confidences Trop Intimes
This is a French (subtitled) film in which a woman, looking for a shrink, mistakenly knocks on the door of a Tax lawyer. She begins to tell him her depest secrets and describe the problems in their relationship, as he assumes the role as Mr shrink. Does he confess all?
Well, yes, actually he does, which kinda makes the film a bit weird. But still. They jabber on at each other and occasionally the psycho type husband pops up to add a moment of drama to the proceedings. The drama is needed because, strangely for a film which sounds as though it could have some potential for comedy and suspense, the excitement level offered is fairly low. Unfortunately the random and weird appearances by the husband do little to improve matters, as they are just too bizarre.
Billed as a comedy, I probably had two laughs during the whole film. It came across as over long, dull, and, in the end, rather flat, because nothing impressive was made of the ending, either.
I’d give it 1 out of 5.
