Here’s what’s happening at the mo -

Coalition breaking Saddam’s grip [news.bbc.co.uk] says the ruler of the world, President Bush. The Iraqi people will soon be free of the tyrant Saddam.

Four children and their father have been found in a gas filled car in north Wales [news.bbc.co.uk].

Ambient noise to be scrubed from mobile phone calls [news.bbc.co.uk]. With a bit of luck, at least.

And, of course, Mouldy Bread Day Six.

MB Day five and etc

Wednesday, March 26th, 2003

It’s day five of mouldy bread. Amazingly I’ve actually kept up with doing it, and not forgotten about it or decided I couldn’t be arsed any more. Cool. Now I just need it to start going mouldy. :|

Most of the headline news is about the war [news.bbc.co.uk] fairly unsurprisingly. There have been more friendly fire deaths and a few deaths due to combat losses. There may have been Iraqi civilian casualties [news.bbc.co.uk] as the result of a bombing raid near a residential area.

Various reports seem to say different things as to how well the campaign is progressing or otherwise. So it’s difficult to tell what is going on.

Day four of the bread

Tuesday, March 25th, 2003

It’s day four of mouldy bread, and there’s still no mould. I expect it will all come along at once, to be honest.

The tv is full of news [news.bbc.co.uk] about the war [news.bbc.co.uk]. Hardly surprising, I suppose. It could be a long battle, not unlike some other battles [news.bbc.co.uk].

I was at school during the last gulf war. I remember talking about it with school friends. I don’t remember it being repeated on tv over and over, but I guess it was.

Mouldy Bread Day 3 pic up today.

Missing ITN reporter believed dead

Sunday, March 23rd, 2003

Missing ITN reporter Terry Lloyd is now thought to be dead [news.bbc.co.uk] as a result of being caught in friendly fire from US marines. His body is believed to be in an Iraqi held hospital.
