Confusion

Friday, February 14th, 2003

Very weird things are happening in my life right now. I think I’m pissing about 400 quid down the drain on an OU course I’m just not doing. :(

I got my new house! I now have a house! It’s mine! (Well it’s the bank’s at the moment I guess.) I have pictures too. I will put them up here soon as I get a chance to upload them to the computer and make them into a web page. Probably next week some time as I’ll be spending this weekend moving in.

Roughly Presented

Wednesday, February 12th, 2003

For those of you that don’t read my even more inane and pointless than this livejournal [www.livejournal.com], which I can’t seem to access right now anyway because half the Internet isn’t working, my house buying thing that has been going on since last October finally completes on Friday. And not before time. So I shall be mostly hovering and cleaning on Friday. What joy. My own housage.

Tanks

Tuesday, February 11th, 2003

There’s tanks and stuff at Heathrow Airport now [news.bbc.co.uk] as part of an increased defecne effort based on intelligence of a possible attack during the Muslim religious festival of Eid. Scary stuff though really, you don’t expect to see tanks roaming the streets over here.

More

Monday, February 10th, 2003

More news on the NTL broadband limits [news.bbc.co.uk] and much the same story on the register [www.theregister.co.uk], along with news on Demon’s broadband users [www.theregister.co.uk].

Expeditions

Monday, February 10th, 2003

So I thought maybe that with all the extra time I get from being unemployed at the moment that I might be able to do more and maybe update this page more often too. That plan doesn’t seem to be working out. If anything I seem to have less time than ever. It’s Monday now and I already know I’m going to have next to no time to do things for the rest of the week. It’s definitely not fair.

In the news at the moment NATO has its own problems [news.bbc.co.uk] that could even be considered to be bigger than mine if you had a certain perspective on them (like, any perspective other than being me), Michael Jackson has released some more video tape to try to show that the documentary about him was unfair [news.bbc.co.uk] I wish I hadn’t missed that now, though of course I heard about it mostly from the rush of people complaining about him sleeping with children.
