So

Wednesday, January 29th, 2003

So what’s going on now then?

Well, firsly I’m on the lookout for a new job. So if you know of any decent IT contracts about that I might be able to do, let me know. I’m good at doing things.

In the real world, it’s been cold [news.bbc.co.uk] in the UK, with snow due to come back again tomorrow, which is really rather annoying. I don’t like snow. I find it is just akward.

In the Iraq [news.bbc.co.uk] thing (click that link to ask questions about it) as the UK and US accuse Iraq of having links with Al-Qaeda, Iraq denies it [news.bbc.co.uk].

There are to be changes to the sex laws over here meaning that sex outside could leave you in jail for six months [news.bbc.co.uk], so I recommend getting as much of that done as possible folks whilst you can still do it without being thrown in the cells. How ridiculous. You technically can’t do it in an overlooked garden either…

Zip

I saw this about a learner driver who’s car was hijacked during the test [news.bbc.co.uk]. Some guys pulled him out of the car as they tried to escape from a post office robbery. See the story there doesn’t tell us the important facts, like whether the kid was allowed to pass or not, or if he gets a refund for the lesson…

Iraq must do more [news.bbc.co.uk] says the UN inspector. More what? Well, it seems they’re not passing on enough information. I’m sure that this goes back to what I was saying before though. Iraq are on a lose-lose game here, as they try to prove what they don’t have. The US can still press for war, and the only evidence they need is apparently to say "Nah, they haven’t done quite enough, but we wont give them more time to do it". Madness.

Community

Sunday, January 26th, 2003

Sometimes, I look around, and I see lots of people, all in a community, and it bothers me because I ain’t part of it.

Other times I don’t care.

I think this is odd.

Friday Five

Sunday, January 26th, 2003

Haven’t done this for a while, it’s the Friday Five [fridayfive.org]

1. What is one thing you don’t like about your body?

I’m too skinny!

2. What are two things you love about your body?

I’m skinny! It works!.

3. What are three things you want to change about your home?

Where it is.
That I’m not in it yet.
That I’ll have to pay for it. Need big pilo’cash.

4. What are four books you want to read this year?

The four on my shelf that I’ve not read yet :

Whit, the Business, Inversions and Look to Winward by Banks, and something by Rankin. (is five)

5. What are five promises you have kept to yourself?

I don’t understand this question. I live by the coin now, I don’t really make promises to myself. Wanna make a decision, flip a coin or something.

So anyway

For the last week things have been pretty much scattered all over the place. I’m not quite sure which was is up at the moment, or if I’m going that way or not. So it’s probably quite useful not knowing which way it is, if you see what I mean.

BBC News online has a story about the worm thingy that was slowing down this (and lots of other) sites earlier in the weekend [news.bbc.co.uk]. Naturally it’s not too techy being on the BBC.

Want to know how insects breathe [news.bbc.co.uk]. Some scientist guys have investigate it using x-rays and stuff. They squeeze things.

Altered stuff [news.bbc.co.uk]. They didn’t do a great job with the football one though, they left the shadow in. Heh.
