Sarah Payne’s killer Roy Whiting has been set a minimum 50 year jail term for his crime [news.bbc.co.uk], effectively meaning he can never leave prison. I can’t see the human rights lot going for that much really, especially once the home secretary loses the right to set terms and the balance of justice switches in favour of the criminal yet again.
The number of teens who have smoked cannabis is going up [news.bbc.co.uk] as is the number who believe cannabis to be a safe drug. Hmm. Well I guess it’s safer than other drugs, so in one respect they’re right. Elsewise I think it’s still not proven, not that that should hinder anyone from smoking it of course.
