Someone just pointed out this story telling us that much of East London is without water today [news.bbc.co.uk] after a main supply pipe burst. Apparently they [the water company] don’t have the resources to fix the pipe and supply the homes with temporary water at the same time, so people have been advised to buy bottled water.
I just wonder where 2000 plus homes are going to be able to buy bottled water from on a Sunday, without some kind of horrible panic buy riot thing happening. Just shows how reliant we are these days on technology. Stick your kettle outside in the rain I guess. Seems like the easiest solution.
