As the UN looks over a draft from the US giving Iraq a week to comply [news.bbc.co.uk] with demands to allow in inspectors or face military consequences, tens of thousands are expected to march against the war [news.bbc.co.uk] in London this weekend. (Whether they will or this is just an overinflated estimate is another question.)
Either way it’s far from a certainty that the UN will draft any measure that has a possible military strike as a consequence of failure to comply, so the US probably would be going it alone (with the UK tagging along.)
My mind is all blank. I think it’s been erased by being at work. I’m not sure what I want to blog tonight. I’m not in the mood to do the Friday Five [fridayfive.org] this week.
Good (or bad) news for dwarves, as a UN human rights committee uphelds a French law baning dwarf-tossing [news.bbc.co.uk]. So there’s no earning money from being thrown around, but - for those that don’t like it - you can’t be thrown around.
Today I shall mostly blog this bizarre lego dope link [www.eqi-clan.de]. I don’t think they are lego men though, something close but not lego, they’re too big. Anyway it was mildly amusing and I’m not really into doing a serious post tonight, because I’m feeling unserious. ![]()
mmm, new mouldy soup. Yes.
Thousands of foolish Londerners were left wondering why they bother [news.bbc.co.uk] today as the tubes went on strike leaving people to walk, bike, or sit in motionless traffic for hours on the way to work. Still, if you will choose to live and work there folks.
Only kidding of course, I’m sure it’s a right pain.
Here can be found some of the public’s views on the Iraq dossier [news.bbc.co.uk]. Just random people really.
I still haven’t found a house to live in. I rang about four houses today that I’d seen on the internet and they were all already sold. ‘Tis ridiculous I tell you.
