Action

Saturday, August 31st, 2002

There should be more action in the world and less meetings, plannings, summits, debates and procrastination. How much does the world waste on silly pontificating? Why can’t folk just do it?

Bloke rides rollor-coaster for ages, sets record [news.bbc.co.uk]. Apparently a teacher at a university, Mr Rodriguez has been on a rollarcoaster for ten hours a day for ages. I guess it must be break time. Or his lectures are odd.

CPS and stuff

Mouldy Chicken Soup Picture Day 6. Go look. It’s great.

Cheap Plastic Stuff of the Week. This week’s cheap plastic stuff is a nice little thing that could be handy to have around the house if you need law and order.

Friday Five [fridayfive.org]

1. What’s your favorite piece of clothing that you currently own?

Hmm. Probably my cow porn socks I got bought for my birthday. Oh yes. Cows and sex, what more could you ask for?

2. What piece of clothing do you most want to acquire?

Dunno. Something that makes me look good? It’d have to be damn impressive.

3. What piece of clothing can you not bring yourself to get rid of? Why?

I still have a mickey mouse T-Shirt in my draw from when I was three. Does that count?

4. What piece of clothing do you look your best in?

I always look my best. Oh yes.

5. What has been your biggest fashion accident?

Everything. I don’t follow fashion at all.

Evening

Friday, August 30th, 2002

Birthday weekend is here. I shall be doing stuff. Not sure how many updates will happen, but I’ll give you soup and plastic stuff tonight in a bit. I really need to sort out what I’m doing, but hey, I’m sure all will become clear.

The world summit is not doing much [news.bbc.co.uk]. Or rather, they’re all sit about arguing mainly (I guess) because America is just ignoring everything because they don’t care. All the other countries should really group together and make plans, but there’s the usual squabbling and general not much results that you get from havig lots of diplomats in one place. And I didn’t realise but the head’s of state aren’t actually there, they only arrive next week after the minions finish the arguments. I mean discussions.

Eminem has won lots of awards [news.bbc.co.uk] at some MTV thing for best videos of the year. Mostly for Without Me, which I’ve not seen the video for though it’s a good tune. The crowd couldn’t decide if they liked this or not.

More later.. After I eat.

Nonsense

After the fiasco last time Maxine Carr was lead to court in Peterborough, it’s been arranged for her to give her evidence over a video link for her trial [news.bbc.co.uk]. This doesn’t stop her side being tainted by the massive media coverage, but it will at least mean she doesn’t get lynched on the way in again by a crowd of morons.

Work was very tedious today. More incentive for me to pack up and move elsewhere really. I have the plan, I just need the action.

The Uk’s first stem cell bank is set to get the go ahead shortly [news.bbc.co.uk]. This would allow progress to be made in using stem cells to help to cure conditions… Excellent.
