If you can cope with the shameless advert for BT Openworld Broadband, and don’t mind javascript popups and oddly presented things that leave you wondering erm, yes but where’s the list. Then take a look at FHMs list of the 100 best online games [www.fhm.com]. Prepare to waste time….

(Of course, minigolf [www.electrotank.com] is best really.)

A million reasons

Why don’t you let your driver give someone else the trophy and push him onto the 1st place podium stand at the Austrian Grand Prix? Because if you do, then your Ferrari team will be fined $1 million [news.bbc.co.uk]. Ouch. Still they have gotten off pretty lightly really. The FIA could not do anything about the silly way in which Schumacher was allowed to win the race, only the fiasco on the podium afterwards.

Home secretary David Blunkett [news.bbc.co.uk] wants Brits to keep flying the flag to see of the far right associations. I’ll be glad if people do, it would be nice to have a country where everyone can be proud of the flag and what it represents, instead of seeing it as an example of extremism.

Moo

Apparently it can take up to ten days for the checks that they have to do before I can rent a house. This is most annoying especially as it said on the form that it should be done in 48 hrs. I am annoyed. This will totally mess up my plan. grr.

A state of major disaster has been declared over the Arizona fires [news.bbc.co.uk]. State aid will now go to help the victims who have lost out to the fires.

Germany have knocked South Korea out of the World Cup [news.bbc.co.uk]. They won by one to nil. Bit of a shame, but I suppose mostly predictable.

In the tennis, Henman [news.bbc.co.uk] went through his match pretty easily, though his apponent was a qualifier somewhere in the top 300 in the world, so not a massive challenge.

Our other British showing Jane O’Donoghue [news.bbc.co.uk] fought a good fight but was seen off by Williams.

Replace him…

Apparently Bush has urged the Palestinian people to replace Yasser Arafat, who has led them for more than 30 years, with a leader "not compromised by terror" [news.bbc.co.uk]. Well, that seems like an interesting little shift. Not sure what it will achieve though, if anything.

Meanwhile, across the world, 200 people are feared dead after a train crash in Tanzania [news.bbc.co.uk]. It seems that a train slipped going uphil and fell back into a goods train. Details are not that good though. Bad news whatever the cirumstances really.

Wimbledon

Monday, June 24th, 2002

It’s Wimbledon 2002 and Agassi has started off the show - court matches in style, beating Levy 6-0 6-4 6-4. A nice round-up of stuff can be viewed here [news.bbc.co.uk]. Obviously it should be accompanied by strawberries and cream for the proper atmosphere. What you choose to *do* with strawberries and cream I leave up to your sordid imaginations… ;)
