Excellent

Finally, I have caught up with OU stuff and have time to bring you both the latest mouldy soup picture (I’ve tried to improve the focus a bit on last time) and Cheap Plastic Stuff of the week which this week is a nifty little construction playset. You can drive the little trucks around and everything. Fun for all the kids, and silly adults, like me.

I found this pretty amusing. A Bolton job-centre rejected a job advert as discriminatory because it was asking for a friendly member of staff [news.bbc.co.uk]. Need help to find the offending word? Yep, it’s "friendly". You can’t ask for a friendly person because you might percieve friendliness as different to other people. Arrggggggggggggg!

I’d be afraid that soup was going to open the plastic wrap and walk about by itself or something.

Yeah, mr mist, why don’t you ask the soup if it knows how to focus the camera properly?

Seems like the soup is shy. =(

    C’mon soup…. talk to us.

it’s refreshing (and i do not intend this with any hint of sarcasm) that in this age of ‘dirty bombs’ and nuclear threats, etc…
that there’s always soup going mouldy for us to fall back on… it’s oddly appealing.
the more i hear about current events, the more i’m interested in mouldy soup and ‘blissful ignorance.’

and i mean that with the saddest sincerity

If I had to ask the soup, I’d have to release it from its clingfilm prison, which would be bad for the world.

As jahv says, the soup’s charm is its blissful ignorance, if I were to open it and unleash its terrors, it would lose that appeal. :)
