The Mouldy Soup picture is up as usual.

And a study to be published shortly suggests that America is far more vunerable to biological attacks than nuclear weapon disaster [news.bbc.co.uk]. It outlines lots of terror weaknesses. Interesting. I wonder who gets the details of the report….

Decisions

Monday, April 29th, 2002

Decisions have been made, in particular, that Diane Pretty will not have the right to assisted suicide [news.bbc.co.uk], or rather, that her husband will not be imune to prosecution should he help her to die.

This does seem rather to fly in the face of the verdict a month ago where another lady was allowed to not have treatment.

Still. The decisions are made.

Rule

Monday, April 29th, 2002

Ruling must be a strange thing. There is a lot of power associated with ruling. To help with that, some countries have split the ruling up between a larger group of people. I suppose there must be an optimum number of people that could share the rule. I wonder if any country currently has this. I doubt it.

Another ruling today is the European Court of Human Rights’ ruling over Diane Pretty’s right to assissted suicide [news.bbc.co.uk]. This could be a large event if it goes in her favour. Whether any precedent would apply over other cases I don’t know, but it would certainly be interesting. The ethical debate pro and con will of course blaze on.

Also, we Brits work too hard [news.bbc.co.uk]. Europe is attempting to get us to come into line properly for the 48hr week.

Mmm, 48 hr week.

Another

Sunday, April 28th, 2002

Blog entry, another win for M Schumacher at the Spanish Grand Prix [news.bbc.co.uk]. Button, who was doing fairl well, was forced out with car problems, whilst Coulthard fixed his first podium of the season, finishing in third place behind Montoya.

Morning

Sunday, April 28th, 2002

Good Morning everyone. Today I bring you news that Microsoft may be interested in bidding for (part of) ITV Digital [news.bbc.co.uk]. I’m not sure how much of this is pure speculation. Microsoft have previously bought bits of cable TV networks.

Odd proposals which probably wont get anywhere but I think could be a good plan, are that parent’s of tearaway children could have their benefits taken off them [news.bbc.co.uk]. Of course there are any number of flaws in that plan that could prevent it from working as intended.

Do *not* click on this multi-coloured site [mrtn-03.com] if you are in any way prone to fits, etc. from looking at bright fast changing colours. If, however, you remember 80s games on your PC, go take a look :) (My bet is that you don’t stay amazingly long though.)

Lastly, you could click and watch Mr Nice dance [csh.rit.edu]. It’s probably something wrote to test their flash skills and it somehow got found on the Internet. Hehe.
