The last day of the year. I’ve not discovered anything noteworthy in the news to put on here yet. Happy New Year folks.

It’s joined up and working now. Technology must have come along as this is loads faster than my old printer. I am not sure if it would be even faster over USB, I hear differing stories from different places over which way is faster. It’s certainly cheaper for me to stick with parallel, being as no USB cable was supplied.

…I now have a Canon S500 printer. Now I shall proceed to attach it and print stuff. Yes.

In other news today, a number of people have died in a firework shop fire in Lima, see this story and the India-Pakistan situation continues to simmer, with many of the local government parties apparently willing to support a war if it comes. Over here, we have had our first snow of the season, and very possibly not the last. I also saw a glimpse of a story that some 3 million pounds worth of jewellery was stolen in a raid in London last night. There seems to be a bit of a trend for large jewellery heists lately.
